Trout action was fair to very good again this week with anglers using Power Bait ( salmon peach, spring green, rainbow and orange), inflated night crawlers doused with attractant, jigs and lures to catch good size, near two pound trout. Best bite was before 10am with a late afternoon kick. Most trout were near two pounds with some over three pounds. Hot spots included the eastern shore of lake 3 from the logs to the northern shore and the eastern and northern shores of lake 2.

Catches of the Week: Chuck Moree of San Bernardino scored a 5 lbs 13 ozs rainbow using salmon peach Power Bait from the eastern shore of lake 2. Apple Valley angler, Joey Thomas caught a 3 lbs 5 ozs trout on rainbow Power Bait from the eastern logged shore of lake 3. Tom Nieves of West Covina reeled in a 3 lbs 3 ozs rainbow on a cheese Power Worm while fishing the north eastern shore of lake 2. Harry Alsopt of Alta Loma caught his 3 lbs 7 ozs rainbow from the western shore of lake 3 on a Power Mouse ( yellow nugget/orange Power Worm).

This year the Lakes' hatchery is amping up the weekly trout stockings with bigger fish overall.
