Trout action was fair to very good this week with anglers using Power Bait ( salmon peach, spring green, rainbow and orange), inflated night crawlers doused with attractant, jigs and lures to catch good size, near two pound trout. This week the bite was slow to start with best bite after 10am. Hot spots included the pump house, the northern and eastern shores of lake 3 and the northern and eastern shores of lake 2.

Catches of the Week:
Hesperia angler, Karin Barela, scored a 5 lbs 12 ozs rainbow on salmon peach Power Bait from the northern shore of lake 2 near the inlet.

Four year old, Adam Urbina, of La Puente, caught his first fish, a 3 lbs 7 ozs rainbow using spring green Power Bait from the western shore of lake 3 near the drain.

Nick Perez of La Puente, caught a 3 lbs 7 ozs rainbow on a white L'il Lip Ripperz while fishing the northern shore of Lake 2 near the bridge.

Jake Henry of Redlands caught a 3 lbs 5 ozs rainbow on spring green Power Bait from the western shore of lake 2.

Mark Davidson of Alta Loma reeled in a 3 lbs 7 ozs rainbow on a Thomas Buoyant from the western shore of lake 3.

West Covina angler, Tom Nieves, caught a 3 lbs 3 ozs trout using a cheese Power Worm on the eastern shore of lake 2.

The Lakes' Hatchery stocks trout every Friday year round.
This year the Lakes' hatchery is amping up the weekly trout stockings with bigger fish overall.
