Trout action was fair to good this week with anglers using Power Bait ( garlic, chunky cheese, rainbow and chartreuse) inflated night crawlers doused with attractant, jigs and lures to catch good size, near two pound trout and many over three pounds. This week the bite was slow to start with best bite after 10am, which is unusual, no doubt affected by some strong cold northern winds and a low weather system passing through the high desert. Hot spots included the pump house, the northern and eastern shores of lake 3 and the northern and eastern shores of lake 2.

Mike Morris of Pinion Hills reeled in a 4 lbs 8 ozs trout using rainbow Power Bait from the western shore of lake 3 near the drain.

Ruben Martinez of San Bernardino caught a 3 lbs 8 ozs rainbow on an inflated night crawler from the northern shore of lake 3.

Moreno Valley angler, Mark Villarreal caught his 3 lbs rainbow Power Eggs while fishing the eastern shore of lake 3.

Jack Rathe of Alta Loma caught a 4 lbs 3 ozs rainbow on a Power Mouse ( Orange/Green) from the eastern shore of lake 2.

Larry Severson of Norco reeled in a 3 lbs 9 ozs trout using a yellow Power Bait/night crawler combo on the western shore of lake 3.

The Lakes' Hatchery stocks trout every Friday year round.
This year the Lakes' hatchery is amping up the weekly trout stockings with bigger fish overall.
