Trout action was excellent this week with anglers using Power Bait ( especially salmon peach, rainbow, garlic, orange and spring green), night crawlers, jigs and lures to catch limits. Most trout were near or over two pounds. Hot spots included the western and eastern shores of lake 3 as well as the western and northern shores of lake 3. Catfish were hitting shrimp and mackerel on the western shore of lake 3 near the pump house and the northern shore of lake 2.

Catches of the Week:

David Bernard of Los Angeles scored a 7 lbs 1 ozs catfish on the northern shore of lake 2 near the bridge.

Lenard Kanegawa of Monterey Park caught a limit that included a 3 lbs 10 ozs rainbow. He used a night crawler to catch his big trout and fished the western shore of lake 3.

Karl Jackson of Alta Loma scored a 3 lbs 9 ozs trout using a Power Mouse (orange Power Worm and rainbow Power Bait) on the south western shore of lake 2.

Upland angler, Mark Hausette caught his 3 lbs 9 ozs on a night crawler/Power Bait combo from the northern shore of lake 3 near the pump house.

The Lakes' Hatchery stocks trout every Friday year round.

This year the Lakes' hatchery is amping up the weekly trout stockings with bigger fish overall.
