It was another beautiful week out on the high desert. Anglers enjoyed great trout fishing on both lakes with Power Bait ( especially salmon peach, yellow corn and spring green), night crawlers, jigs and lures all scoring nice limits and many over two pound rainbows. Lots of limits went out this week. Hot spots included the eastern and western shore of lake 3 as well as the northern and southwestern shores of lake 2.

Catches of the Week:

Lyle Brown of Apple Valley caught his 3 lbs 10 ozs rainbow on a Thomas Buoyant from the western shore of lake 3 near the bridge.

Los Angeles angler, Mike Conway scored a 4 lbs 5 ozs trout using garlic Power Bait from the eastern shore of lake 3.

Eight year old Phelan angler, Jesse Bradshaw, reeled in a nice 3 lbs 2 ozs catfish using red, white and blue Power Bait from the western shore of lake 3 near the drain.

Elijah Morua of Azusa, went to the Angling Pond to get a skunk fish and reeled in a 4 lbs 12 ozs rainbow using orange Power Bait.

The Lakes' Hatchery stocks trout every Friday year round.

This year the Lakes' hatchery is amping up the weekly trout stockings with bigger fish overall.
