Trout action was good this week with anglers using Power Bait (especially spring green, rainbow, orange, garlic), night crawlers, jigs and lures. Best bite was before 10am with an afternoon kick after 2pm. Hot spots included the eastern shore and the western shore near the bridge of lake 3 and the northern and eastern shore of lake 2.

#1--Eugene Todd of Victorville caught a limit that included a 4 lbs 1 ozs rainbow. he used a smoke crappie jig and fished the northern shore of lake 2.
#2-- El Monte angler, Scott Coley, reeled in a 4 lbs 8 ozs trout using a chocolate Trout Teaser from the northern shore of lake 2 near the inlet.
#3--Jerry Barnes of Redlands scored a 4 lbs 2 ozs rainbow on an orange Power Worm from the eastern logged shore of lake 3.

Catches of the Week:

The Lakes' Hatchery stocks trout every Friday year round.

This year the Lakes' hatchery is amping up the weekly trout stockings with bigger fish overall.

Hours: Friday through Sunday--7am to 4pm.

We will be closed Christmas Day and New Year's Day but will be open Saturday and Sunday.
