Trout action was very good this week with anglers using Power Bait ( especially rainbow, garlic and salmon peach), night crawlers, jigs and lures ( Panther Martins, orange Power Worms and Thomas Buoyants) to catch limits. Most trout were near two pounds with a few over three pounds--lots of limits were also caught. Hot spots included the eastern shore and western shore near the pump house of lake 3 as well as the northern and eastern shores of lake 2. Catfish were caught from the eastern shore of lake 2 and the western shore of lake 3 on mackerel, shrimp and Power Bait.

Steven Roher of Glendale caught his 3 lbs 4 ozs trout using a black Panther martin from the western shore of lake 3 near the pump house. Mark Capen of Rancho Cucamonga caught a 3 lbs 3 ozs rainbow on an orange power worm from the eastern shore of lake 2.

The Lakes' Hatchery stocks trout every Friday year round.
This year the Lakes' hatchery is amping up the weekly trout stockings with bigger fish overall.
