The salmon bite was slow today but there were some decent scores. The fish were caught near Pajaro and the Soquel Hole. There was a report of a few limits at Mulligan Hill in 280 feet of water. Most of the salmon were caught from 30 to 100 feet on the troll. I fished the late afternoon bite and ended up with a 25 pound salmon cleaned. The salmon were taking Red Krocodiles, Blue and Chrome Apexes and Kajikis. Water was calm all day long. The weather looks good for the next few days. The best bet is to look for the birds and keep trying to catch the big Salmon. I fished from 36'51/121'59 to 36'50/121'53 and had 3 fish on a Rainbow Hot Spot and a Blue Kajiki down 60 feet.

The water was nice in the morning and fishable all day....... Read More
