Monterey Bay Fish Report 04-28-2007

The fishing for Salmon was slower today but the anglers who worked hard got some fish. The fish were on a bite early in the morning and late in the afternoon around 2:00. It was not wide open and some anglers did get skunked. The good thing is that the fish are big. I weighed in some nice fish and there were reports of the one that got away. The water was nice in the morning and fishable all day. There were boats who stayed all day and ended up with a lunker in the afternoon. The fish were being caught on Green Kajikis, Purple Haze Kajikis, Pearl Krippled Anchovies, Red Krocodiles, and Watermelon Apexes. The fish were being caught from 80-120 feet in the morning and 40-70 feet late in the day. The bite may not be wide open but your chance of catching a fish of a lifetime in Monterey Bay is now!
