The lake fell to 74 percent of its storage capacity, and fishing remained good. Bass anglers found mornings and evenings to be the best times to fish. Recreational boat traffic has been heavy mid-day especially on weekends. Topwater offerings worked well for the first couple of hours, and drop shot, Ned rigs, and spider jigs have been getting bitten later in the day. Spotted bass were holding 10 to 25 feet deep, and they have been responding to bait fish, brown, and green pumpkin colored plastics. White bass were reported as bycatch for bass anglers throwing topwater. They have also been going for small swimbaits, spoons, and live minnows. Crappie took jigs tipped with crappie nibbles and small live minnows, and catfish have been eating cut baits, dip bait, and chicken liver.
