The Metolius has been fishing well

6-21-2024
Fly and Field Outfitters

The Metolius has been fishing well. Green Drakes, caddis, and PMDs have been making for some fun dry fly opportunities throughout the day and nymphing has been consistent during non hatch times. Golden Stones, jigged and balanced leeches, rainbow warriors, nitro caddis, two-bits, and twisted mays have been some of our recent favorites for the nymph rigs. Large dries like Green Drakes can make good indicator flies to utilize for a dry-dropper setup and help you target fish feeding up top and sub surface. Large streamers are good for targeting bulls as are larger nymphs and leeches under the indicator.
