Striper and catfish continue to be a reliable option for aqueduct anglers

Striper and catfish continue to be a reliable option for aqueduct anglers. The bait anglers hooked striped bass using sardines, bloodworms, and jumbo live minnows while flukes and jerkbaits produced for the lure anglers. Catfish took sardines, anchovies, and dip bait on sinker rigs, with whisker-fish up to eight pounds being reported. Largemouth bass chased shad at sunrise, and anglers used shad imitations like Keitech swimbaits, small Flukes, and shaky head worms to fool fish. Topwater also produced early and late in the day for anglers fishing before and after the check gates.
