Fish Report for 10-13-2023
The river flows have remained stable

Trout Creek Outfitters
Not much has changed on the Little Truckee in the last week or two. In a way, its almost a relief to report that nothing has changed. The river flows have remained stable, and the fishing has been productive. While the flows are a little lower than we’d like to see, it’s nothing compared to the sudden reduction in flows that we saw earlier this year. Being that we are currently hovering around eighty to ninety CFS, we’d recommend a dry dropper this time of the year. Euro-nymphing will also be effective. Look for buckets, under-cut banks and the deeper riffles to find fish. Baetis, eggs, worms, October Caddis and Midge patterns will all be effective. As always, a good presentation will help the cause.
