Fish Report for 10-13-2023
The fall transition is in full effect
10-13-2023
Chad Burton and Chris Borden
The fall transition is in full effect, and anglers reported decent fishing for all species. Striped bass have been on the move, and anglers who found biting fish moved from control gate to control gate to locate the feeding line sides. Stripers ate lugworms, jumbo live minnows, and cut baits at a decent clip. Jerkbaits in white or Aurora Black along with white Magnum Flukes on a jig head produced for the lure crowd. Largemouth picked up drop shot 3 and 4-inch reapers in dark green, brown, and baitfish colors. Anglers found biting bass before and after check gates. Largemouth also hung out near outtake grates and eddies. Catfish anglers did well with dip baits and chicken liver.
