The Upper Deschutes closes this Sunday, September 30th so there are only a couple of days left to fish this headwaters stretch. Nymphing has been hot with psycho princes, eggs, two-bits, micro-mays, and zebra midges. Streamers around some of the deeper undercut banks and log jams can produce some exciting eats but be dangerous on the fly count. Don’t forget that the river is closed as of sunday until May 22, 2024.
