A nice little morning shot on quality yellows and a few nice bluefin set up an afternoon variety mission offshore. Ultimately the effort boiled down to one decent shot at excellent grade yellows and not so excellent grade dorado. There were a few standouts, just enough to encourage the effort, but most were very easy to release. In the end the variety was exactly what we needed to close out the voyage on a fine note. Heading for the barn wind and seas astern the final night prime rib feast was thoroughly enjoyed by revelers festive and appreciative of the good fortune bestowed. Many thanks to charter master extraordinaire Ross Myers for holding the group together when we adjusted on the fly. And likewise our gratitude is extended to all our anglers who are the real foundation of our success.
Final voyage image features Royal Star veteran Tony Gallardo with a dandy yellowtail fly lined up during yesterday's hot bluefin action.
