An immensely satisfying day of fishing and catching enjoyed in perfect conditions and fine weather. Ideal, fly line style action accounted for most of the victories but surface lures and snipers were also effective. As darkness approached we couldn’t help ourselves. The draw of bigger fish on the night gear was too strong. In the end we managed to land a handful but the overall not biting trend continued. Tomorrow’s focus will shift after a stint targeting yellows in the morning. Offshore variety calls. Seeking to add some color to the catch our final afternoon will be invested searching for kelps and yellowfin schools offshore. Today’s image features Royal Star veteran JD Murray with a beautiful, 60 pound class bluefin landed on the spinning tackle and fly line sardine.

If you would like to go fishing with us please BOOK ONLINE or call (619) 224-4764 to get in on the action.
