A fine start to the day picking off the remaining tuna anglers desired before shifting in to pure yellowtail and alternate variety mode. Seeking quality over quantity we poked and prodded our way up the coast spot hopping for a couple of handfuls of “premiums” and of course a few goats. As we are fond of repeating - “no long range trip is complete without one”. In freshening wind and bumpy afternoon conditions we opted to seek heavenly refuge for the night before resuming the hunt for big yellows tomorrow. Finding the exact mini paradise hoped for the day concluded on a tranquil note fast to the bottom settled and satisfied. Photo today features Royal Star veteran JR Dekleinhans and a fine yellowtail landed on the dropper loop mid afternoon.
