The Upper Deschutes has been fishing well
7-14-2023
Fly and Field Outfitters
The Upper Deschutes has been fishing well. Nymphing has been the most productive with pheasant tails, zebra midges, jigged leeches, golden stones, and two-bits. Stripping streamers around some of the downed trees, undercut banks, and deeper pools is another good way to target some larger, more aggressive fish. Dry-dropper setups can also be utilized and chubby chernobyls, hoppers, beetles and ants all make good dries for these setups.
