A solid effort in the northern zone produced the exact action we were hoping for. Beautiful, 40-80 pound bluefin tuna let their guard down a couple of times getting after the sardines we offered in epic daytime charges. And we were able to hook a few, or more, amidst the fray. Precisely what we had in mind the late afternoon action carried over into the dark providing anglers the chance to shake out their night gear. It was a great day overall; beautiful weather and good fishing at a perfect pace.

Adding premium bluefin to our already incredible bounty resting in the RSW tanks we’ll close the trip out tomorrow in search of a few trophies. There is no better time…

Photo today features yet another long time Royal Star angler and friend Rick Stone with one of  his two 60 pound class bluefin landed on the sardine sinker rig.

If you would like to go fishing with us please BOOK ONLINE or call (619) 224-4764 to get in on the action.
