Tackle Recommendations from the Boats for Bluefin trips.

For day time fishing, they are recommending

50lb flyline with a #1 mutu or a 1/0 mutu circle hook

30lb flyline with #2 Owner Mutu Hook. For the guys that want to fish a jig, try a 100 or 130 Colt Sniper or Zakana jigs. We would recommend fishing the jigs on a 50 to 60lb outfit.

For night time fishing, we are still recommending 80 to 100lb outfits and 300 to 400 grams jigs with 130 to 200lb leaders.

The Liberty caught 15 Bluefin Tuna, 15 Yellowfin Tuna and 1 Yellowtail on their Full Day trip for 40 anglers.

The Dolphin PM trip caught 35 Red Vermilion 69 Mixed Rockfish and 1 Calico Bass for 37 Anglers 

The Dolphin AM trip caught 197 Mixed Rockfish and 57 Red Vermilion for 55 anglers.

Lucky B Sportfishing caught LIMITS of Bluefin Tuna for 2 anglers on their Full day trip.

The Condor called in with 36 Bluefin Tuna (up to 160 lbs.) for day 1 of a 3.5 day tirp with 24 anglers. 

The Pacific Queen is returning this morning with 93 Bluefin Tuna (15 between 130 to 160 lbs.) and 33 Yellowtail (15 to 30 lbs.) for 23 anglers on a 3 day trip. They also posted their open party schedule for April, May and June of 2024!

The Tomahawk returned this morning with 17 Bluefin Tuna and 2 Yellowfin Tuna for 29 anglers on a 1.5 day trip. 

The Fortune returned this morning with 16 Bluefin Tuna, 2 Bonito, and 1 Yellowfin Tuna for 16 anglers on a 1.5 day trip. 

The Islander returned this morning with 50 Bluefin Tuna (10 over 100 lbs. the rest between 25 and 60 lbs.) for 24 anglers on a 3 day trip.

The Dolphin 1/2 Day AM caught 352 Rockfish for 52 anglers. 

The Dolphin 1/2 Day PM caught 25 Sand Bass and 10 Rockfish for 27 anglers.

The Lucky B called in with 6 Bluefin Tuna (40lb) for 6 anglers on their Full Day trip.

The Liberty Full Day caught 44 Bluefin Tuna and 2 Yellowfin Tuna for 39 anglers.
