Tackle Recommendations from the Boats for Bluefin trips.

For day time fishing, they are recommending

50lb flyline with a #1 mutu or a 1/0 mutu circle hook

30lb flyline with #2 Owner Mutu Hook. For the guys that want to fish a jig, try a 100 or 130 Colt Sniper or Zakana jigs. We would recommend fishing the jigs on a 50 to 60lb outfit.

For night time fishing, we are still recommending 80 to 100lb outfits and 300 to 400 grams jigs with 130 to 200lb leaders.

The Dolphin PM trip caught 57 Rockfish, 1 Lingcod, 2 Sheephead and 2 Sculpin for 26 anglers.

The Dolphin AM trip caught 205 mixed Rockfish for 36 anglers.

The Liberty caught 32 Bluefin on their Full Day trip for 40 anglers.

The Condor called in with 25 Bluefin Tuna (20-80lbs) on their Overnight trip for 37 anglers. Still Fishing!

The Pacific Queen called in with 58  Bluefin Tuna (10 @ 130-160lbs) for day 2 of their 3 day trip for 24 anglers. They also posted their open party schedule for April, May and June of 2024!

The Pegasus returned this morning with 31 Bluefin Tuna for 19 anglers on a 1.5 day charter. 

The Fortune returned this morning with LIMITS (38) of Bluefin Tuna for 19 anglers on a 1.5 day charter.

The Dolphin 1/2 AM trip caught in with 269 Rockfish for 39 anglers.

The Dolphin 1/2 PM caught 31 Rockfish, 1 Calico Bass, and 1 Sheephead for 24 anglers.

The Liberty called in with LIMITS (80) Bluefin Tuna for 40 anglers on their full day trip. 

The Mustang returned this morning with 49 Bluefin Tuna, 2 Yellowtail, and 1 Yellowfin Tuna for 16 anglers on a 2 day trip. 

The Islander returned this morning with LIMITS (40) of Bluefin Tuna for 20 anglers on a 1.5 day trip. 

The Pacific Queen returned this morning with LIMITS (156) of Bluefin Tuna for 26 anglers on a 3 day charter.
