Howdy yall, it's Trejan on the Sunrise. Today, we had a 5 hour fishing and crabbing trip with 18 passengers. We left the harbor at 6:00 after giving our gear and safety speech.  After leaving the harbor, we headed 20 minutes north to drop off our pots. After that, we traveled north for another 15 minutes, until we reached our first fishing spot. On our first drift, we caught 1 fish. We then caught 2 on the second, and 2 again on the third. We continued to catch between 0-2 rockfish for the rest of the trip. But every so often, we would have a drift where we caught 6 or more fish. Because of the water cooling down heavily, the rockfish bite hasn't been as hot. But the Lingcod and Cabezon bite has picked up a little bit. We may not have limited out on rockfish today, but we caught some huge Lingcod and Cabezon while we were fishing. After our time for fishing was up, we went crabbing. After crabbing, we finished up our trip by heading back into the harbor. During the trip, the wheather was great, but there was still a little left over chop from yesterday. Overall, it was a good day for fishing.
