Howdy yall, it's Trejan on the Sunrise. Today, we had a 5 hour fishing and crabbing trip with 14 passengers. We left the harbor at 6:30, and went west to drop our pots. After that, we traveled north for 15 minutes , until we reached our first fishing spot. On our first drift, we caught 2 fish. We then caught 2 again on the second, and 3 on the third. We continued to catch between 3-5 rockfish for the next 2 hours. Fishing started out a little slow, but it eventually picked up. We started pulling in 7-11 fish a drift, until we limited out right before we had to go crabbing. We ended up with 24 crab, so everyone got 2 crab a person because there were only 12 crabbers. We finished up our trip by heading back into the harbor. During the trip, the wheather was absolutely perfect. There was no swell, no rain, and no fog. There was only blue skies and a beautiful sea. Overall, it was a great day for fishing.
