Sunrise Sportfishing
Howdy yall, it's Trejan on the Sunrise. Today, we had a 5 hour fishing and crabbing trip with 16 passengers. We left the harbor at 6:30, and went directly west to drop our pots. We traveled about 5 minutes after we layed our pots, to get to our first fishing spot. On our first drift, we caught 9 fish. We then caught 8 on the second, and 6 on the third. We continued to catch between 5-10 rockfish during the next few drifts. During this time, we also caught some Lingcod and Cabezon. We ended up getting our limits of rockfish about 3 hours into the trip. We proceeded to fish for more Lingcod and Cabezon for about an hour before we had to go crabbing. Things started off strong by getting almost 20 crab in the first pot. We continued to catch an insane amount of crab throughout our other 9 pots. After we got done with crabbing, I measured and counted the crab. We ended up with a ridiculous 101 crab. We finished up our trip by heading back in the harbor. On our way back, we even saw some whales. The ocean was as nice again today and the wheather was also alright. Overall, it was a great day for fishing and a perfect day for crabbing.
