6-24-2022
Fly and Field Outfitters
The Crooked River is fishing fine but the flows are quite low for typical summer flows. The reservoir does not have much water storage so this will likely be the norm. There have been PMD’s around and the fish have been keying on them. Nymphing remains the most consistent with small mayfly nymphs, small caddis, and scuds. Focused on water that is a bit deeper and slower moving with these low flows. Swinging soft hackles before/during/after hatches is also a great way to pickup some fish. The crooked canyon is a gorgeous place to spend a summer day so get out there and find some fish.
