The Fall river is fishing well

6-3-2022
Fly and Field Outfitters

The Fall river is fishing well. Fish are spread out all the way from the confluence to the headwaters so it might pay to explore some spots you haven’t before. Nymphing with perdigons, small cj’s, two-bits, eggs, caddis nymphs have all been good. Dry fly fishing has been fair with hatches of caddis, PMD’s and Green drakes. Ants and beetles are a good idea this time of year as well and can work well for a dry dropper rig. We have black micro chubbys in both our Bend and Sunriver locations that we like a lot for Fall river dropper rigs. Stripping streamers around some of the log jams can be a good way to trick some larger fish and get some aggressive takes.
