The Crooked has been fishing well. The flows were bumped slightly to 270cfs a few days ago and the water is a bit off color but the fish are still feeding actively. Caddis are active now and dries and nymphs are effective. Nymphing is still the most consistent method and two-bits, tailwater tiny’s, small cj’s and scuds should all have a place in your box. Hopefully they can maintain these flows throughout the summer but with Prineville res at 31% it seems unlikely. The river is fishing well and the fish are active so get out there and have some fun!
