Fly and Field Outfitters
We have been hearing good reports of topwater action on salmon flies. The big bugs are in full swing and fish are keying in on them. A dry dropper setup with a chubby chernobyl or other salmonfly pattern is a very fun and effective way to fool some fish. Caddis are becoming important on the lower now as well. PMD’s are around and can be fun in the early and late hours of the day. Nymphing is hot now as well on caddis and mayfly nymphs. The river is in good shape, the weather is getting warmer, and fish are active so go have some fun.
Recommended Dries: Chubby Chernobyl #8-10, March brown #12-14, Hackle Stacker PMD #14-18, Parachute PMD #14-18, Hackle Stacker Baetis #16-20, Parachute Baetis #16-20.
Recommended Nymphs: Jimmy Legs #8 Black or Brown, Trout Retreiver black or brown #8-10, Jigged Hares Ear #14-16, Jigged Pheasant Tail #14-16, Psycho Prince #14-16, Duracell Jig #14-18, Copper John #14-18
