Fish Report for 5-27-2022

Kaweah Lake has been rising rapidly

5-27-2022
Chad Burton and Chris Borden

Kaweah Lake has been rising rapidly, and this week it rose to 63 percent of capacity. Anglers reported another solid week of spotted bass fishing while using finesse baits and reaction baits. Drop shot, Senkos, Ned rigs and jigs worked for bites in 5 to 20 feet of water. Small swimbaits on underspins and crankbaits also fooled plenty of fish. Topwater has been productive for the first couple of hours. Catfish went for chicken liver, dip bait, and cut baits, and crappie ate small live minnows and minijigs near Horse Creek
