Trout action was very good this week with anglers using Power Bait ( especially rainbow, garlic, salmon peach and lemon twist), night crawlers, jigs and lures to catch limits. Lots of trout were caught and many were near or over two pounds. Hot spots include the grassy point and the eastern logged shore north to the pump house of lake 3 as well as the northern and eastern shores of lake 2. Catfish are hitting mackerel and Power Bait along the the western shore of lake 3 and eastern and northern shores of lake 2. Anglers report fair bass action on spinner bait and senkos on the northern shore of lake 3 and the south eastern shore of lake 2 near the wall.

Catches of the Week: Rialto angler, Ron Young, scored a 7 lbs 14 ozs rainbow on a dark and light green jig from the eastern shore of lake 2. Chris Jackson of Pomona reeled in a 4 lbs 2 ozs trout near the pump house of lake 3 on an orange Power Worm. Steven Harris of Rancho Cucamonga caught a 3 lbs 12 ozs trout using rainbow Power Bait near the bridge of lake 2.

This year the Lakes' hatchery is amping up the weekly trout stockings with bigger fish overall.
