Fish Report for 1-21-2022

Higher water levels and cold water gave the bass lockjaw

The lake held near 29 percent of capacity, and anglers reported tough fishing. Higher water levels and cold water gave the bass lockjaw, and anglers have been working finesse baits in 10 to 30 feet of water for bites. Drop shot, shaky heads, and darter heads were the baits of choice for anglers last week. Catfish went for cut baits, garlic scented nightcrawlers, and dip bait in deeper water throughout the lake. One angler reported limits of crappie after locating a school in deeper water. The crappie went for minijigs and small swimbaits.
