Rusty
We are still getting some striper action here along the shores of the Colorado river. Up on lake Mohave its been mixed reviews as some days the fishing has been great and others not so much. Anglers are having some success near the dam and above the poser lines even trolling up in the basin has been successful. I heard of top water action has produced some great catches in the coves while trolling with swim bait or an umbrella rig has been working out in the deeper water. not much word on the large or small mouth bass this time of year its just slowed.
Below the Davis dam there is still some trout action and some of the smaller stripers are plentiful. Our local angler 10-year-old Vinessa Camargo along with her 3-year-old younger brother Anthony are showing off her catch of stripers. They were landed from shore in the Rotary Park area. She was using night crawlers yep it is usually anchovies but in this case the worms did the trick. these smaller stripers are usually overlooked by our anglers and tossed back. They say to let them go so they will go bigger while it might be better to keep them so the other ones out there will grow bigger. Either way its ok these small sizes are easy to fillet out and make a great fish fry.
We hope this helps some for now and we look forward to seeing you in soon to share that catch and your story. mostly thanks so much for all the support.
