The best fishing on the Truckee River is around Glenshire drive. Anglers should fish their winter setup. Some recommended flies for the Truckee River are san juan worms, small blue winged olives, small dry flies, or small midges size 18-20. Some other areas to try on the river are near Floriston and Farad. Use the same small flies, with light tippet and an indicator.
FLOWS: Tahoe City 50 CFS, Glenshire 70 CFS, and Farad Exit 221 CFS
