Mountain Hardware & Sports
Donner Lake is fishing best at first light or late evening. The best mackinaw are seen early in the morning in 70 to 80 feet of water. Anglers should jig with minnows caught in the lake using a minnow trap or, troll with lyman lures and rapalas. Shore anglers are still catching some leftover rainbows from the season.
Donner Lake is currently at 71% capacity.
