The Fall River has been hot right now

Fly and Field Outfitters

The Fall River has been hot right now. Our guides have been having some outstanding days fishing out there. The action should continue to be good this week, it’ll be slightly warmer than last week. Surface action hasn’t been as hot as the subsurface bite. Blue wing olives and mahogany duns are around right now. Pale morning duns could also hatch on warmer days. Caddis are sporadic and make for good searching patterns. Using a chubby as an indicator is still a good idea, mainly because a dry fly is less splashy than an indicator. Subsurface fishing has been great. The usual patterns are doing well, midges, two-bit hookers, and tailwater tinies. Copper johns and eggs have also been getting some attention. Streamers have been really killer lately, especially around newly stocked fish. Go head out and rip some lips at the Fall River, it hasn’t been fishing this well in a while.
