The Twin Lakes are continuing to have great opportunities

Fly and Field Outfitters

The Twin Lakes are continuing to have great opportunities for some sizable rainbows. Their also a great place to head if you want to avoid the cold, it usually stays slightly warmer at the Twin Lakes than it does at Crane Prairie, East Lake, or Hosmer Lake. It’s still going to be chilly up there, most days this week will be cooler than average. Fishing around midday is a good idea. Callibaetis are tapering off, there may still be a few on some of the warmer days. Balanced leeches have been making the indicators drop. Fish like them big, fish like them small, fish like them all. Assassins and birds nests have been performing well also, mostly size 16 - 18. Chironomids are another good nymph to tie on. Stripping leeches and small streamers is a great way to fool some hungry fish. Head up to twin for some great still water action.
