Fish Report for 10-8-2021
It’s been a tough week for the Upper Kern
10-8-2021
Chad Burton and Chris Borden
It’s been a tough week for the Upper Kern as smoke from the Windy Fire has engulfed the region. Anglers and visitors are being discouraged from visiting the area due to the extremely poor air quality. In the Lower Kern, Bass have been coming on a variety of offerings. Some of the best action has come on small spinnerbaits and soft plastics. Catfish can be caught with Triple S Dip Baits, clams, and worms. Bluegill have been coming on live worms. At the time of reporting, the Upper Kern River at Kernville was flowing at 90 CFS and the Lower Kern River was flowing at 110 CFS.
