This is an exciting time for those of us that love to fish- it is the best of prime time fishing in southern California. This weekend you will hear all about it on Let's Talk Hook-up, 7AM to 9AM on XX 1090AM. Here's a preview of what is to come this weekend. First- we will not be doing our live remote broadcast at Drew Ford Saturday, this event was canceled. We will be in the XX studio with Captain Mark Wisch of Pacific Edge. Mark will have plenty of information on the great bites going on both inshore and offshore, and of course plenty on fishing at Catalina and San Clemente. Rock Cod Rick will fill you in on his fantastic trip with Bob Arenson from Angler Management Service and Repair. They had an epic day just 25 miles from Point Loma on albacore, bluefin and more. You can count on live reports from the water as there is plenty to tell from one to five day trips.

The one day boats from San Diego are reporting great yellowtail and dorado fishing in easy range today. This bite should get even better as the summer rolls on. The 3 to 5 day trips are experiencing some of the best albacore and tuna fishing they have seen in 3 to 5 years. Jumbo albacore to 50 pounds are hitting the decks on boat fishing in an area about 180 miles from Point Loma. In 1 1/2 day range, boats are scoring too on big schools of albacore and bluefin tuna. If you have been waiting for the right time to jump on a trip- this is it! We have a few spots left on our Shimano/Let's Talk Hook-up 3 day on the water seminar aboard the Searcher from Fishermans Landing. Sunday's Let's Talk Hook-up show will be lots of fun as "Mr. Excitement" Marc Mills from Shimano joins us in the XX studio. Marc is a expert at both fresh and saltwater fishing, as well as a wealth of knowledge on Shimano tackle. Marc will have all the information on the latest products just introduced at last week's ICAST show.
