The move inside paid big dividends as Capain Blake Wasano led his hearty group of 24 anglers to full limits on the final day with just shy of half the catch in the 70 - 150 pound class. In grease calm, lake like conditions it was a "turkey shoot". Schools lined up for miles and miles as Captains on the grounds navigated to the biggest fish they could find picking their way among vast areas of jumpers, finners, pushers, and breezers, all of which almost continually lit up the electronics.

Ah the good old days; hard to believe the abundance that we are witnessing is even possible amidst the endless doomsday narratives so pervasive in media today. That said we don't take it for granted recognizing full well that the current cycle we are all enjoying is nothing short of a phenomena. Completing another hugely successful run Captain Wasano returns tomorrow passing the baton to Captain Brian "Gerbie" Sims on the upcoming annual Izorline 3 day run. Enjoy today's image grabbed from a few voyages prior.
