A scratch on the 25-30 pound school fish with a few standouts up to 100 pounds. Once again the volume of fish seen was stunning. That said daytime enthusiam for biting among the massive schools was at a not unusual low. As night fell, following a near twenty four hour marathon of grinding at the rail, enthusiam among even the hardest of hardcore anglers began to wane. One can only go so far on adrenaline. While the evening through the midnight hour did produce a few bites Captain Wasano opted for a change of venue tomorrow following some reliable information obtained through his extensive network of friends. Seeking bigger and better time will tell if the gamble pays.

Today's image is a father son classic. Captain Blake Wasano and his budding 14 year old son Kona take a quick moment to share in the post glory of a ripper nite bite. All dressed and ready for the RSW tanks these 120 - 150 pound class bluefin will grace the tables of many Royal Star anglers and their friends and families for months to come.
