Twin Lakes Fishing Report 4/16/21

The Twin Lakes are great if you can’t wait to get some early season lake fishing in. Access should be decent, but four-wheel drive is still advised. Indicator tactics are gonna be the best way to land a lot of fish. Chironomids, midges and buggy patterns, like a birds nest, are a good way to go. We love fishing balanced leeches on most of our stillwater fisheries. If you’re looking for more involved fishing, try stripping a leech or a small streamer on a sinking line setup. Have fun out there with those hungry early season rainbows.

Suggested Flies: Bird’s Nest Hare’s Ear #14-18, Dark Assassin #14-18, Bird’s Nest Or Black Depth Charge #14-18, Red or Black Zebra Midge #16-18, Black or Red Chironocone #14-18, Red or Black Yankee Buzzer #14,  Bruised Balanced Leech #10-14, Ruby Leech #10-12, Black Wooly Bugger #10-12, Olive Wooly Bugger #10-12, Black or Rust Slump Buster #10-12, Thin Mint #10-12, Olive or Black BH Mini Leech #12
