IXTAPA-ZIHUATANEJO FISH REPORT - THE INDEPENDENT SPORTFISHING FLEET
4-30-2009
Larry Edwards
According to Captain Temo Verboonen, the fishing offshore has been
very difficult over the past week and the green water has stretched
out to about 40 miles from shore. He did have a single productive
day that produced 3 sailfish for his French client, MR. AUDOIN, but
the water's clarity has been hampering the offshore fishing
throughout the week. He maintains the inshore fishing continues to
be productive for jack cravelle, chulas and bonito, which bite all
day long on live bait and the pencil poppers.
I/Z Climate: Sunny, warm and pleasant days with temps from 70 nights to 88 daytime highs.
Sea Conditions: Generally, calm waters prevail with very light surface breezes, temps are good but clarity is poor. Sea temps from 75-76 inshore, rising to 81 offshore.
Bait Supply: Remains very good.
