- Thank YOU for your generous donations to Toys for Tots this holiday season! Because of your help, children in need will have presents under the tree this year.
- Stocking: Another 1,500 lbs. of trout was added to the lake last week. So far this season, 5500 lbs. of trout have been stocked. Stocking will be biweekly throughout the season to reach a total of 19,000 lbs. The next stocking will be the week of December 28th.
- What's the catch? Best spots for trout this past weekend were in Hermit Cove and Eagle Cove. They were biting on Powerbait, gold spoons, and Hookup Baits. The week of stocking trout tend to prefer shallow water for the first few days until they have acclimated to the lake. Early risers caught bluegill and redear sunfish in Cloister Cove on meal worms and half a nightcrawler. Bass were biting around the dock, Half Moon Cove, and Sentry Point on shiners.
- Limits: Please be aware that there is a limit of 5 trout per person as mandated by the California Dept. of Fish and Wildlife.
- The lake will be CLOSED Christmas Day, Friday, December 25th.
- Conditions: The current water temperature is 67 degrees. For an updated weather report in Lakeside this weekend, click HERE.
- We're HIRING! We're looking for a Volunteer Park Host or two to live and work in our campground. Exchange a minimum of 20 hours of labor per week (including weekends and holidays) for a campsite with water, sewer, and electricity. For more information, click HERE.
- We love receiving pictures from our fishermen and campers! If you have a picture to share, please send it to ranger@lakejennings.org and we may feature it in our newsletter or social media pages.
