Stormy weather kept anglers working their tackle and bait again this week with Power Bait ( especially spring green, orange,salmon peach, corn yellow and garlic), night crawlers, jigs and lures all catching trout. Most rainbows were near or over 2 lbs. Hot spots included the eastern logged shore and north shore to the pump house of lake 3 as well as the northern and eastern shores of lake 2. Bass are still waiting for some spring heat to jump start pre-spawn with anglers reporting a few ( up to 4 lbs) bass being caught on the south eastern and northern shores of lake 2 on senkos.

Catches of the Week: Jaekoo Lee of Irvine reeled in his 3 lbs 9 ozs rainbow on a Rappala while fishing the southeastern shore of lake 2. Jack Gooselin of Tustin Ranch caught his 3 lbs trout on spinner bait from the eastern shore of lake 2. Roy Fukushima of Orange caught his 5 lbs 3 ozs trout on a jig near the wall on the eastern shore of lake 2. Apple Valley Angler, Brett Orr, used a Bubblegum Power Worm while fishing the inlets of lake 2 to catch his 5 lbs 8 ozs and 3 lbs 6 ozs rainbows. Ron Dietz of Victorville caught a 3 lbs 3 ozs rainbow using spring green Power Bait from the grassy point of lake 3. San Bernardino angler, Erin Hinojosa, caught a 3 lbs 12 ozs rainbow on salmon peach Power Bait while fishing the eastern logged shore of lake 3 with Benjamin Green, also of San Bernardino, who reeled in a 3 lbs 14 ozs trout on a pink and white jig. Nate Green, another San Bernardino angler, caught a 2 lbs 9 ozs trout using orange Power Bait from the eastern logged shore of lake 3 as well. David Bolesworth of Apple Valley caught his 3 lbs 14 ozs and 3 lbs 7 ozs rainbows on the grassy point of lake 3 using an inflated night crawler. Merv Shandor of Victorville reeled in a 4 lbs 2 ozs trout on spring green and yellow Power Bait with garlic trout dip while fishing at the pump house on Lake 3. Ontario angler, Keith Wheelden, used a green crappie jig to score his 5 lbs rainbow on the north shore of lake 2. Art Marquez caught his 5 lbs 2 ozs and 3 lbs 10 ozs rainbows on a green Power Worm at the pump house on lake 3. Matt Keyler of Corona reeled in 3 lb 13 ozs, 3 lbs 2 ozs and 2 lbs 10 ozs from the northern shore of lake 3 using an orange and white Power Mouse. Mike Johnson of Covina caught a 4 lbs 2 ozs rainbow using a white crappie jig and pink Power Worm combo while fishing the northern shore of lake 2.
