It was pretty much the same pattern again this week... Like the weather, trout bite was up and down with anglers using everything in their tackle boxes to catch their fish. Power Bait (especially salmon peach, orange, and spring green), inflated night crawlers, jigs and lures all caught limits. Most trout were near or over two pounds and many over 3 pounds. Hot spots included the grassy point, eastern logged shore and western shore of lake 3 from the bridge to the pump house as well as the northern and eastern shores of lake 2.

Catches of the Week: Danny Kodama of Fullerton caught his 6 lbs 13 ozs rainbow using a jig on the north shore of lake 3. Hesperia angler, Jason Orellana caught 4 lbs and 3 lbs 12 ozs trout on garlic Power Bait from the Pump House on Lake 3. Mark Kaihara of Fullerton limited with a 4 lbs 12 ozs, 4 lbs, 3 lbs 6 ozs and 2 lbs 10 ozs rainbows all caught on Trout Teasers from both lake 2 and 3. His cousin, Rod Kaihara reeled in a nice 5 lbs 2 ozs trout on a jig from the northern shore of lake 2. Ray Martinez of La Puente scored a 5 lbs rainbow on orange Power Bait while fishing the inlets of lake 2. Thirteen year old, Larry Morales of La Habra reeled in a 3 lbs 2 ozs trout on rainbow Power Bait from the northern shore of lake 2. Victorville angler, Gary Choate, caught his 3 lbs 8 ozs trout using rainbow Power Bait from the western shore of lake 2. Dave Ochoa of Hesperia caught his 4 lbs, 3 lbs 11 ozs and 2 lbs 6 oz trout on chunky cheese Power Bait while fishing the logged eastern shore of lake 3.
