Dockside Charters Fishing Report

Dockside Charters Staff

Our Air Quality Index is well into the green Safe Zone. The change in wind direction and increased humidity has helped scour out the smoke locally and has continued help the fire fighters combating the Kimberling Mountain-Echo Mountain wildfires that have been impacting our communities. The forecast for rain should help even more. Our thoughts and prayers go out to those that have suffered losses from the fires. Highway 18 through the Otis area has been reopened. Evacuation orders for the Otis have been moderated allowing residents access is some areas.

We are getting fishing trips out on a daily basis. We are still observing our Covid-19 policies of course. Fishing has been quite good for Bottom Fish. The weekend trips produced well too. Crabbing continues to be good. The deep water Ling trips have not produced as expected, very disappointing to be sure.

Coho Salmon has closed for 2020. The quota was taken in the first two days of the non-selective season.
