Thankfully our Air Quality Index is at 53, well into the green Safe Zone. The change in wind direction and increased humidity has helped scour out the smoke locally and has helped the fire fighters combating the Kimberling Mountain-Echo Mountain wildfires that have been impacting our communities. The forecast for rain should help even more. Our thoughts and prayers go out to those that have suffered losses from the fires. Highway 18 through the Otis area continues to be closed.
We are getting fishing trips out on a daily basis. We are still observing our Covid-19 policies of course. Fishing has been quite good for Bottom Fish. The weekend trips produced well too. Crabbing continues to be good.
Sadly Coho has closed for 2020. The quota was taken in the first two days of the non-selective season.
Running 5-hour bottom Fishing and crabbing and 1 and 2-hour Whale Watching Trips daily, weather permitting.
