We had to scrub our Halibut trips offshore again (due to icky weather) and the Tuna are out of reasonable range. Too much boat riding and not enough time for fishing. On the upside bottom fishing continues to produce well, not a great deal of Ling Cod action but Rockfish are doing well. Crab numbers and quality continue to be good.

The Coho season is closed. It will open up for non-selective September 4th and will be open each Friday-Saturday through September or until the quota is reached. Non-selective means any fish you get to the boat of legal length is yours to keep.

ODFW announced a change in bag limits and species retention. Effective 7-20-20 the Rockfish bag limit has been raised to 7 per person per day from the previous 5. Retention of any of the nearshore complex of Copper, Quillback and China Rockfish is now zero.

There have been two more additions to the All-Depth Halibut openers. July 16-18 and July 30-Aug 1. Get your name in the hat early, we have had really good results with fish on the majority of trips for all fishermen and a very good grade at that.
