Bottom fishing was good today. Just a few Rockfish short of limits for some folks but an excellent Ling bite, more than one per rod. Crabbing produced limit catches.

The marine conditions were as good as we could wish for hardly a swell and very little wind. Fog was the only down side.

The Long Leader trip produced many limit catches, the ocean was great and the fog cleared off 17 miles offshore. Crabbing was solid.

The Coho season is closed for hatchery fish. It will open up for non-selective September 4th and will be open each Friday-Saturday through September or until the quota is reached.

Halibut is open this Thursday-Friday-Saturday. Still plenty of quota left.

Still no good Tuna news. Only a few fish being taken, well past the range we can travel to.

ODFW announced a change in bag limits and species retention. Effective 7-20-20 the Rockfish bag limit has been raised to 7 per person per day from the previous 5. Retention of any of the nearshore complex of Copper, Quillback and China Rockfish is now zero.
